dude.

had a lovely, lovely weekend in tokyo with momoko, keith, and momo's family. thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!

tokyo is a fascinating place. it's similar in some ways to seoul, and veryveryveryveryveryveryveryveryvery different in many other ways. the air feels cleaner there. well, everything feels cleaner there. ~grin~ it's a lovely city, can't wait to go back and explore more.

will post photos of tokyo soon. am a bit tired, it's been a long week. our first two-month term ended yesterday, and between writing progress reports for the kids, trying to catch up on grading essays, and prepping for new classes, i'm pretty far gone. am going to sleep a lot this weekend. and go hiking. and get my hair cut on sunday with the korean counselors from work. and buy new shoes. hell. i'll sleep on friday night. ~lol~

Girl! I am tired just hearing about all of your adventures and exploits! Sleep is good, remember :) You have to re-charge sometime, you know (*said with slightly nagging mom voice*). Glad your trip to Tokyo was awesome - and that Cherry Blossom photo was gorgeous. Can't wait for spring to bloom out all over here! It's my fave season. Such hope and renewal and rebirth, where all things are possible. The rain today is melting the snow, so there's almost none left. And I noticed tiny buds on some shrubs when I walked to the grocery store this weekend. *happy sigh*

Nevermind those two--you can rest when you're dead. Says the girl who's favorite vacation plans start with 18 hours of sleep. :P

I'm so glad your trip went well. More pictures! Says the girl who hasn't posted to Flikr in a month.

Nevermind me either, I guess! Ha!

Glad to see your post. I was thinking about you these last two weeks and wondering how your travels were going. Lara was in New Jersey for her job Thursday and Friday so we were able to get together for lunch. I really like it now that my nieces are old enough to be friends too. We took a nice walk in Valley Forge park after lunch.
The apple, cherry and magnolia trees are starting to blossom here. Spring is HERE!!!

I love your cherry blossom photo! I made it the desktop on my computer, so now I think of you whenever I turn it on. :) Guess what? I'm defending my thesis tomorrow! There IS an end to grad school! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you while I was writing!

Sara!!!
My family, Keith and I thoroughly enjoyed your visit to Tokyo.
We had such a great time!!!
Your sakura (cherry blossom) photo is amazing!!!
It turns out that sakura bloomed in Tokyo before the south, which is unusual, so you were really lucky!!! Thanks for bringing spring to Tokyo early!!!
Hope you can visit again soon. It was way too short!!!
love,momo
