i hit an old woman with a book report.

^o^

i really did. i've been a bit frustrated these past two weeks. i am behind at work grading essays and writing progress reports, and i've not been taking enough time to study for korean class and can't remember much of anything, which is So Frustrating. we asked our teacher if we're the slowest class she's ever had. she hesitated, and then said "YES." oi. we're two chapters behind schedule. yeeps. i can't even read properly yet.

anyway. last week michelle and i were waiting for the subway after class. i was in a stressed, foul mood, trying to catch up and grade book reports for my junior students. an old woman cut in line in front of me and knocked the report i was grading, which made my pen smudge my comment for the student. i didn't even think, i just smacked her on the shoulder with the report. i guess i gave her a really dirty look, too, according to michelle (who loves to tell this story, hooting with laughter). the old woman gave me a surprised look, then backed away and went to stand in a different line with her husband.

~sigh~ just call me crabby.

oh well. only six more weeks. then i'm taking a break. i'm going to study more next fall, definitely. it will probably take me at least a month or two of self-study to figure out what the hell i learned the last two weeks anyway. ~lol~

i bought a korean/english electronic dictionary today. except, the directions are in korean, so i can't figure out how to use it. DOH!

love you! i promise not to hit any more old women.

AWESOME!!!! Somehow I think SunMee will especially appreciate this story. Go Sara! I threw Ange her bday party yesterday and the bouncy castle was a hit, as was the homemade chocolate cake with espresso flavored frosting I made. - Jen

Old women of the world beware! Ha! How hilarious...although I'm guessing not at the time...Remember to go easy on yourself - you are doing a HELL of a lot right now!

Hmm. I was at the b-day party and somehow missed out on the castle and the cake. :( But we had a fabulous time reading off trivial pursuit cards - don't think I've ever laughed that hard when playing that game.

Well, gotta run. Hope you get a break soon! You deserve it!!! Hang in there. The old women of the world are hoping you do :)

I missed Angie's b-day party because I double booked dinner with your cousin, Dan. He's dating a nice girl named Susan, who I got along with very well. 35W was closed by the Quarry, which hosed up lots of driving this weekend. I have tonight off from rehearsal. Hoo-freakin'-ray!!!! Hope you've gotten some sleep now. :) Hugs!

stephanie - oooooo, trivial pursuit or bouncy castle - it's a draw. homemade chocolate cake with espresso flavored frosting, though... ~grin~ maybe jen will make more cake soon? :) hope all is well and you don't have any urges to beat old women with mu brochures. :p

mel ~ how's dan doing?! yeah, sad i'm asking you how my cousin is doing. eep. am glad you have a night off from rehearsal! sorry i missed your call this weekend. will try you again this weekend. i seem to be able to fit in two calls a weekend, but no more. :( aish, wish there were 40 hours in a day & we only needed to work for 8 & sleep for 8. dude. would have so much fun. sleep is for the weak. or smart. haven't decided which. ;p thank gods for diet coke. or coke light (ko-kah-ko-lah la-ee-tuh in hangukmal).
