a blurry sunrise:

new year's eve in Itaewon ~
my super cool co-worker Noah and Korean man with the same super-grip gloves:

almost midnight:

trying to find the right train to hongik university:

yay, we made it! listening to this incredible musician at a jazz club in the hongik area (yes, it's called the Watercock. konglish? birds? something else? dunno. ~lol~):

chilly, peaceful Olympic Park:

at the park, waiting...

...for this, three or four hours before showtime ~grin~:

things that made me laugh ~
the label on my wastebasket:

oh rubber gloves bag, what about the men?:

for sale on the street, slippers of pigs and bears, oh my. $1 a foot:

i now own the largest can of chicken boullion every made. it was the only size at the grocery store. $15. at least it will feed me all year. ~lol~

Its great to see photos. It helps me visualize you there and having a great time. You do a good job with pictures. They convey to sense of the experience.
The Olympic park looks like a great place for walking and I do agree that the boullion will last you a full year.
Great photos, Sara!!
I loved the "Land of the Morning Calm" photo....and really, the mountains in the background! Wow.
Can't wait to go there...
I will go to Japan in March. Any chance you can visit? If not, maybe I can visit after all my concerts are done. I will e-mail you soon! Let me know when your PC get's going, and please get Skype! That's one of my best discoveries of the year 2005! Keith and I were talking to my parents in front of our PC for free! We didn't even need a headset because of the internal mic. and speakers. It's like we're in the same room. Waycool. We will get a webcam soon, too...
Love,

OH OH OH I WANT PIG SLIPPERS!
Label fun is so awesome. I didn't really get to play that game in Australia, or Europe. I think that Asian labels are hysterical, too, all full of happyhappyjoyjoy. :)
Hooray for digital cameras! Hugs to you!
totally dig the pics. thanks for posting! glad you got your computer back! things are looking up! new eyes was interesting and exhausting as always. did a little taiko piece, lost my place, and had to simply bow my head in shame until we stopped and started over again. AIEYAH!! so it goes....
