whine.

bugger it all. i am sick again. i think i have bronchitis. curse pollution and new germs in a foreign country.

something is wrong with my Skype number. if you've tried to call me, i guess it's going straight to my voice mail, but it doesn't let you leave a message, and i don't hear a ring. am working to get that fixed. :(

i signed up this weekend to take a 2-day trip to North Korea in July. i'll be hiking at Geumgangsam Diamond Mountain. woo hoo!

sorry you are sick. that sucks. that's when you want to have comforts of home and not need to try so hard for everything little thing you need. but just take it easy and use it as an excuse to be lazy and unmotivated for a while if you can. sending you healthy thoughts!! -jen

Have you ever thought of being a writer? You are very talented at expressing your thoughts, observations, and emotions. On a separate topic; what are you doing about the bronchitis? Is there a western clinic you can go to a doctor? Or is it like the Chinese and you have to drink some vile tealike stuff brewed from dried monkey parts? Inquiring minds want to know. If you have drunk the vile stuff be sure to write about it. I'll want to hear your description.

We only make Americans drink the monkey brains tea. Everyone else gets antibiotics.

Hope you feel better soon, Sara. Everyone at Mu says hi!

If I caused offense I apologize. I am obviously not as adept at being witty as I had hoped.

jen - thank you! :) i took a sick day from work and slept and read books and cleaned my bathroom and didn't do much of anything all day. i feel better. i am becoming resigned to being sick all year. i guess when you move to a new country and start hanging out with 8 year olds who pick their noses and then use your markers to draw on the board during break time, you're going to get sick. ~lol~ hope all is well! am glad glad glad that midsummer opening rocked!!!!!!! will email you soon. :)

nancy - oh, thank you! i used to want to be a writer when i was growing up. then i started playing flute and getting into music. i do miss writing. i might go to a western clinic, there's an international hospital nearby, if i get worse. i took a sick day from work and am hoping this will just run it's course. i could go to an accupunctuarist, there's one close by. i like accupuncture. the korean doctors near my work at the smaller clinics, at least from what i've heard from other teachers, are a little less reliable than the international hospital. they tend to guess at dosages, and korean medicine is weaker than US or canadian over the counter meds. i would love to go to a traditional chinese medicine place, even if it meant drinking something vile. it would probably work better than western medicine. and no worries, i don't thing you're being offensive!! it's true. if you go to a traditional chinese medicine clinic, the chances you'll get something that tastes nasty are pretty good.

though, i think nothing is as strong as canadian over the counter medicine. i've had neocitran before, the canadian version of thermaflu, and it's the best stuff on earth. it knocks you out and cures you instantly. rod gave me a cold and flu pill today that he said would clean out my congestion. it cleaned me out, made my right hand twitch, and eventually knocked me out for three hours. strange. he gave me their version of sudafed the last time i was sick. i guess it has something called psuedoephedrine (i think?) or something in it that isn't used in the states, and it made me more hyper than a yippy lap dog chasing squirrels. ~lol~

melinite - tell everyone at mu hi! i will try to call again this weekend. am sad my skype is all messed up, no one can call me. boo. am sorry about last weekend. congrats on a great opening weekend! the reviews are fantastic! wh00t! maybe mu will start doing more shakespeare. ~grin~

Nancy--no worries! We're both joking around.

My boss Megan is getting a cold, too, and she's allergic to pseudoephedrine. So, at least you can take crazy Canadian meds! I just hope she doesn't give it to me--I've got to get through this show, yet. ;)
