two 30th birthdays
I'm Korean age 30 now. Next year I'll be US age 30.
weird
back on the 12 hour work schedule. 3 work weeks + two days and then i'm off to thailand for 8 days. can't wait. stressed. the city has been getting to me a little. i am missing summer. blue sky. less rain. oi, rain. i can't wait to sit in the sun. i hope the sky is clear.
we changed classes at work, so i am meeting a new crew of 27 students. i miss my old students terribly. many of them stopped by today to wish me a happy birthday, and some made paper cranes and letters. the kids here are so awesome. i hope i can teach some of them again in the fall. my classes now should be good after a few more days, i think, while they get used to me, my speech patterns, my bouncing around, my long winded grammar lessons. if they get used to me. ~lol~ i haven't had new classes with completely new students since February or March. it's a little strange.
time for sleep. i hope you are all well. sorry this is a little flat. things feel flat. i need a long vacation. we all need a long vacation. i went to jeju island the weekend before last for 3 days. it was lovely and i'll post photos here later. it mostly made me want more time off. ~lol~

Or another option is if you really don't want to be 30 you could choose to NEVER be 30, just skip it -- you can be your US age of 29 this year -- next year you could choose to be your Korean age of 31 (or is that worse??) Hope you had a great Birthday!
