taking a day off
dude. i am so sick. took a day off, which means i don't get paid because i've already used my whopping three sick days, but oh well. my boss was pissy about it. gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah what the hell am i supposed to do? keep working 'til i get pneumonia? i preplanned for all of my classes just in case i didn't feel well this morning, but it doesn't matter. it's like i'm deliberately causing problems for her. shit, do you know what i'd give to be healthy and teach? it's no fun teaching when you can't talk. duh. this bumblefuck company would rather have people dying and at work instead of staying home one day to get better.
~sigh~ please excuse the profanity. i am completely frustrated with work . the understatement of the day. frustrated with boss, company, self-centered oblivious constantly complaining whining expats. for fuck's sake. i appreciate all of you at home that much more now. i hope i've not become a self-centered oblivious constantly complaining whiny person myself. :( am working on it.
anyway. went back to the doctor today. i have the world's biggest bottle of cough medicine*, penicillin, and codeine. dude. i have codeine. it's helping my ears. it's helping my lungs. it's helping my general outlook on life. ~lol~
if this stuff doesn't fix me, i have to go back for a chest x-ray. um. no thank you. get better get better get better get better get better get better get better get better get better get better get better get better please
*seriously. it's just under the size of a Pringle's can, and is over half full. dude. wouldn't it be cool if it tasted like pringles?! ooooo. i gotta go try some.**

I just read your last two postings. I am sorry you are sick again. Working with so many kids tends to expose you to many germs and I guess they find a home in you. Your post of generalizations was really good. The attention span of fruit flies on crack is a concept I never would have thought of but it evokes a great picture.
Have you tried out the Rossetta Stone web site? You can download trails of their different language courses. I just got their Mandarin Chinese Level I. I thought I really should learn Spanish cause I might actually use it. But I really want to learn some Chinese so I got that instead.

Well, I'm all for anything that makes you appreciate me. You know, as much as I do you. :P
The funny part is, the longer you stayed in Seoul, the less sick you would be, because you'd catch up to everyone else's immunities. Not that you're less sick now, but someday you'd be less sick. Or dead. One of the two.
How'm I doing on that making you feel better thing?? I do hope you're better soon, and that you stay healthy for a long time.
