i'm it

have been tagged by melinite, but don't have 6 people to tag again, so... yeah. i never blog & have few online friends. oh well. ~lol~

without further ado, courtesy of melinite's tag, here are "6 Odd Things About Me" (in no particular order)

~ like to eat bananas, but don't like artificial banana flavoring

~ often bounce

~ reread books over and over and over and over yet rarely tire of them

~ can't sleep on my stomach

~ would prefer to smell exhaust and cigarettes and latrine and rotten seafood Mixed Together than smell nail polish (gag)

~ the length of time it took me to think of 6 odd things... i'm either rather dull or rather unobservant. bugger. TT TT

oh well. that's okay. will leave you with a photo of a traditional farmer's dance. rod and i went to the korean folk village in suwon last weekend over the lunar new year's holiday. was much fun. ^o^

happy lunar new year (a wee bit late)!

obsessed w/fried chicken

i've had two dreams about eating korean fried chicken in the last week. why??? is there special significance to dreaming about fried chicken?

i do really like the fried chicken here.
i don't usually like fried chicken all that much, but am apparently addicted to this stuff. best is yangnyam chicken (diDsuA clzlS). it's covered in a sweet and spicy sauce. sooooooo good. (am looking for a new korean font to download, will try for something easier to read.)

there was an interesting article in the new york times last week about korean fried chicken's growing popularity in new york. it talked about how it's made and why it's different from the greasy kfc-like nastiness at home. link here. maybe that's why i'm dreaming about it. i ate chicken for dinner this week, tho' it was grilled. oi.

enough with the chicken. what have i been doing for the last 5 weeks, you ask? why haven't i been blogging? um. after finishing crazy january work schedule, i've been...

~ tutoring kun-hee and her brother most wednesday evenings and saturday afternoons (though the saturday afternoons have lately turned into kun-hee and sara hanging out at random places),
~ teaching,
~ going to the gym,
~ studying korean (not often enough, bad sara),
~ watching movies at home and at DVD rooms,
~ drinking soju cocktails (yuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmy soju cocktails), and
~ going out on the weekend with rod. we're exploring more than last year, going to a new or previously-seldom-visited place at least once a weekend. rod is much happier in seoul this time (yay!).

happy valentine's day, by the way. ^o^ here, girls give chocolate on valentine's day, and boys give chocolate on white day (march 14). hope you get lots and lots of chocolate!

p.s. rod just got home. he gave me a bar of 99% cacao chocolate for valentine's day, just to see if i'd try it. i just did. it tastes like dirt. my mouth is puzzled. a tad distraught. boooooooooooooooooooo, 99% cacao bar. boo.
